Karrie Truitt, CSR, RPR

I grew up in Morning Sun, a tiny town in southeast Iowa.  I graduated from Wapello High School in 1995 and then attended the court reporting program at AIC in Davenport, Iowa.  I started working as an on-site CART provider in 1999 at the University of Iowa.  In 2007 I started freelance reporting for Carson Reporting in Cedar Rapids. I now live in Des Moines and still freelance for Carson, occasionally take overflow for others, and I provide on-site CART services for the Deaf Services Commission of Iowa, as well as any other CART jobs that may pop up.

I live with my fianc√©, Scott (no wedding date yet!), on the southeast side of Des Moines.  He has two children, Austin, 19, and Josie, 15.  We spend a lot of time in the summer watching Josie play varsity softball for Des Moines East High School as well as a traveling ball club in the spring and fall.  I enjoy that a lot as softball is my favorite sport.  We enjoy traveling together to the tournaments out of town.

My hobbies include flower gardening, reading, bike riding and watching Nascar.  Scott and I also enjoy traveling together when we can, usually to a Nascar race, and we also enjoy attending Iowa Hawkeyes games (or at least tailgating) when we get the chance.   GO HAWKS!
